Seventh Generation

Seventh Generation has been the organic home & personal care brand that has always intrigued me. Being similar to The Honest Company, having the same morals and values of keeping their products safe & eco-friendly.
Seventh Generation's natural hand wash says right on the bottle that the soap does not contain triclosan. I wrote about triclosan in my The Honest Company post. Triclosan is a harmful ingredient found in antibacterial products, such as hand soap and sanitizers. It can disrupt thyroid function, and can cause an inbalance of hormones. I have stopped using antibacterial products because I now know what harmful ingredient is in those products, and the effects it can have on your body. Knowing that I am washing my hands with a safe cleanser gives me peace of mind. I do freak out about chemicals sometimes, and when I use Seventh Generation, I don't have to worry. Plus, the mandarin orange & grapefruit scent smells absolutely amazing.
I don't know about you, but I enjoy washing dishes more when the dish soap smells good. The Lavender Floral & Mint dish liquid soap from Seventh Generation smells so good! I also love the way it sudses up. When there are suds, I feel like the dish is getting clean. Some people think that all-natural cleaning products don't get the job done, but that is entirely untrue. Yes, the bottle of the dish liquid soap says that it has powerful grease cutting technology, so I tried it out on a greasy pan to see if it really does, and it wiped clean with no residue in just a few minutes. I normally have to get out the baking soda to help cut the grease, but I solely used the dish liquid soap for that greasy pan. Seventh Generation dish liquid soap is plant-based, and non-toxic. Those are the words you want to read when buying dish liquid soap.
Like I said before, Seventh Generation has good morals and values. The Seventh Generation company is against animal testing, and animal cruelty. I absolutely love their mission statement, which you can find on their website, "After 25 years of innovation, we've learned a thing or two from plants: they can clean up our world while being kind to our families, Seventh Generation plant-based products get the job done. Without the iffy stuff." Doesn't that make you feel good about what you are cleaning your house, your dishes, your clothes with? What impressed me is the short ingredient list on the back of their products. It isn't a million lines long, it is just a few because they don't add in all the unnecessary chemicals in their products. It surely makes me smile. I enjoy using Seventh Generation's products. I know that no toxins will be transferred to my family through their products, and the fact that I am helping the environment all the while using Seventh Generation products. It is a win-win.

  1. I also agree, I love that the Seventh Generation soaps are eco friendly and safe to use.
I have been using this Seventh Generation Mandarin & Grapefruit soap for some time now and I really do like it so far. The scent is very yummy and leaves a nice scent on your hands after each use. Its a very refreshing scent. I was my hands a lot since I have twin toddlers at home and this soap leaves my hands soft after each use, which is awesome. This will be helpful especially in the winter. I absolutely love that this soap is natural. It has no dyes and is hypoallergenic. It's made with plant based ingredients, so their are no harsh chemicals in here!! Since this soap is natural, I feel good about letting my kids use it daily. I dont have to worry about nasty chemicals, like in other soaps. This soap is definitely a winner!
I received this soap from Smiley360 so I can review it. I am so glad I did because I enjoy and love using this soap.

  2. Hi again, just to add another comment to my comment above, I received this product as a free sample from Smiley 360.

    1. Yes! Seventh Generation is awesome! Oh I am a Smiley member too! I haven't received anything from them, I haven't been very proactive in the program.
