Seventh Generation's natural hand wash says right on the bottle that the soap does not contain triclosan. I wrote about triclosan in my The Honest Company post. Triclosan is a harmful ingredient found in antibacterial products, such as hand soap and sanitizers. It can disrupt thyroid function, and can cause an inbalance of hormones. I have stopped using antibacterial products because I now know what harmful ingredient is in those products, and the effects it can have on your body. Knowing that I am washing my hands with a safe cleanser gives me peace of mind. I do freak out about chemicals sometimes, and when I use Seventh Generation, I don't have to worry. Plus, the mandarin orange & grapefruit scent smells absolutely amazing.
I don't know about you, but I enjoy washing dishes more when the dish soap smells good. The Lavender Floral & Mint dish liquid soap from Seventh Generation smells so good! Yes, the bottle of the dish liquid soap says that it has powerful grease cutting technology, so I tried it out on a greasy pan to see if it really does, and it wiped clean with no residue in just a few minutes. I normally have to get out the baking soda to help cut the grease, but I solely used the dish liquid soap for that greasy pan. Seventh Generation dish liquid soap is plant-based, and non-toxic. Those are the words you want to read when buying dish liquid soap.
Like I said before, Seventh Generation has good morals and values. The Seventh Generation company is against animal testing, and animal cruelty. I absolutely love their mission statement, which you can find on their website, "
