Ethical Fashion Outfit Love

This subject has been on my heart for the past few weeks. I am really, very excited about this style. It is charitable, and stylish all the same. I first saw these shoes that I am wearing on Casey Wiegand's blog, she was doing a giveaway with these shoes, and I fell in love with the colors and the style of these beautiful ballet flats. The shoes are from The Root Collective, they make beautiful accessories and shoes, donating 10% of the proceeds from each purchase on TRC to a charity of your choice, they give you options of specific charities, and you can pick the one you donate to. The charity I chose was the Neema Project
The Neema Project helps vulnerable girls in Africa through education, counseling, basic care and needs for the girls. I felt particularly passionate about this charity because I have heard of the Neema Project before I donated through The Root Collective. I have heard of the girls, and read some of their stories, it made me want to help. The Root Collective helped me donate, and now I have these beautiful, handmade shoes to help remind me of how I helped the girls in the Neema Project.
These shoes were handmade in Guatemala by a master shoe maker, a man named Otto. It is wonderful to know where your shoes came from, and who made them. These shoes are a constant reminder of so many things, to think about Otto and the girls in the Neema Project.
I put together this style using this gorgeous crochet top, these beautiful, handmade shoes, and this adorable crossbody bag. I love how under the crochet top, you can put any color of tank top and have it look amazing.
While the pictures were being taken, it started to rain. I have never photographed in the rain, and it was actually pretty fun, and certainly different. I wasn't worried about my hair curling up, I was just having fun playing in the rain, and showing off this style.
Go check out The Root Collective! They have all different colors of their beautiful, handmade ballet flats, and they have some pretty accessories for sale, but most of all, donate!
