Instagram is my "Mini" Blog

As I was browsing through my instagram feed, I noticed a lot of people telling stories with their pictures, of course, a caption is not necessary for a photo on instagram, but it is fun to read about the photos, and I don't know why I didn't realize this before, but Instagram is like a mini blog. I do instagram more than I post on my blog, I do blog often, but Instagram has way more posts than my blog does. That's ok! Instagram helps me blog in a lot of ways, and blogging helps me instagram.
I did not blog about our Pink Out game that happened on Friday. I instgramed it. The Pink Out game was to raise awareness for breast cancer, and they took pink duct tape and the cheerleaders would hold each side and carry it over a section, you could stick money on it to donate. It was such a neat game! The cheerleaders had pink pom poms and wore pink sweatshirts, t-shirts and bows. It was a big deal! Of course, now I am blogging about it to make a point, but instagram in a lot of ways is just my mini blog, the blog "annex" so to speak.
I didn't blog about this either. At CAL, (my school partnered with the local community college here), we did a bloody diarrhea lab, where we suited up like we were going into major surgery. We had to put on a gown, gloves, hair covers, shoe covers, and face masks. All the bloody diarrhea was, was ketchup in a bed pan. I thought it was going to be a bigger event, because it was being made into a big deal before we did the lab, but afterward, when the lab was all over, we all said, "That was it? That's all it was?" Oh well, it was still fun and interesting.
On Friday evening, before the game, I de-seeded a pomegranate. They are so yummy!

Not that I need to blog everything about my life, or instagram everything about my life, but I do like to tell people what I am up to, if it is something significant in my life that I want to advertise, or practice my photo filter skills, I will post it on instagram, and then later or eventually my blog. But the point is, instagram is my mini blog.
