Egg Yolk Natural Hair Care

With the season change from Spring to Summer, my hair has been in it's worst shape. My ends have run dry, and it tends to go frizzy. I cannot stand frizzy hair. I found this wonderful piece of information on Pinterest about egg yolks. When you apply a hair mask made from egg yolks onto your hair, it leaves your hair shiny, frizz-free, and helps grow longer and prettier, not to mention the protein it adds to your hair to make it healthier. Seemed easy enough, so I decided to try it for myself.
It's really simple. All you need are 2 egg yolks, 2 tsp of coconut oil (melted), and about 1/2 cup of water.
Mix the ingredients together, apply to your scalp, and all over your hair. Massage into your scalp for about 5-7 minutes. Leave the mixture in your hair for 15 minutes, and wash your hair with shampoo & conditioner. Viola!

After I washed it, and I let it dry, it turned out so soft, so shiny, and no frizz detected!
This hair treatment is wonderful!
Sorry if the pictures are a wee bit fuzzy... I took some with my face camera, and some with my back camera. I tried to sharpen them up a little. I am really pleased with this hair treatment. On Thursday, I am going to do another one. The power of simple treatments other than expensive deep conditioning products. Hmmm. Who knew!
My split ends are GONE now. I have heard in the past that egg is wonderful for your hair, and now I know for sure. This is the ULTIMATE hair mask. It also made my hair a little straighter than normal... my hair normally waves/curls out, but this kind of straightened out my hair, gave it some wave, but the super curly wave I usually have. I love how it made my hair super soft though.
If you do a hair treatment with egg, DO NOT add vinegar. I have done that before, and it stinks. It does leave your hair in a gorgeous state, but if you do treat your hair with egg and vinegar together, I would hold off on breathing for a little while until it washes out. *haha*
